Performance

The Zinc Oxide Arrester Tester is a dedicated instrument for evaluating the electrical performance of zinc oxide arresters. It is suitable for live-line or de-energized testing of arresters across various voltage classes, enabling timely detection of critical defects such as internal moisture ingress and valve block aging.
Featuring simple operation and user-friendly design, the instrument employs a human-machine interface for full-process control. It measures the arrester's total current, resistive current and its harmonics, power frequency reference voltage and its harmonics, active power, and phase difference. A large screen displays actual voltage and current waveforms.
Utilizing digital waveform analysis technology and software-based anti-interference methods-including harmonic analysis and digital filtering-the instrument delivers accurate, stable measurements. It precisely quantifies fundamental-wave and 3rd to 9th harmonic components.
